Enable Remote Desktop. I don't have a Win 2000 box to tell you how to do this, but you can probably use Google to find out.

I would REALLLLLLLY suggest you upgrade that Win 2000 computer because it is extremely vulnerable and probably already part of a botnet and/or owned by hackers.

Thanks for your response but my understanding of remote desktop is that it will not allow connection to any thing less than a w2k server pc (via terminal svcs)and not a w2k pro workstation. Can anyone provide some guidance on this issue? Thanks in advance
