  1. Titan
  2. 7990 its dual 7979s on a single board. Titan is over rated/priced..

690 all the way. It's much more powerful than the Titan (which is terribly overpriced) and runs a lot cooler and smoother than the 7990.

The 7990 is like a muscle car. Tons of horsepower but big, hot, and unrefined.

The 690 is like a Ferrari. Fast, sleek, and agile.

  7. +1 for 690, but if you're getting a 690 I will recommend 2 670's... Same/better performance and cheaper.

Don't get a 7990, AMD multi gpu is horrendous.
  8. +1 HD7990 in terms of future-proofing. Reason: http://techreport.com/news/24748/amd-says-frame-pacing-beta-driver-due-in-june-july-timeframe

3gb per gpu with 384-bit bus is much more valuable than the GTX 690 and Titan has to offer.

Also +1 GTX Titan if you want single GPU stability as not all game scale with both Crossfire and SLI well (e.g. StarCraft 2)
  9. GTX 690 is not better, Nearly equal but not better

Sorry, I think just forgot that the 690 was also dual GPU lol, brain freezel. But none-the-less, doesn't the 7990 card use more watts, thus more heat? If he really cares about his temps, then he will have to spend more on a better cooler. But if not, then he can get the 7990, which will last him for a long and long time...
