Solution
690 all the way. It's much more powerful than the Titan (which is terribly overpriced) and runs a lot cooler and smoother than the 7990.

The 7990 is like a muscle car. Tons of horsepower but big, hot, and unrefined.

The 690 is like a Ferrari. Fast, sleek, and agile.

Hey um, 7990 is dual GPU.

Sorry, I think just forgot that the 690 was also dual GPU lol, brain freezel. But none-the-less, doesn't the 7990 card use more watts, thus more heat? If he really cares about his temps, then he will have to spend more on a better cooler. But if not, then he can get the 7990, which will last him for a long and long time...
Your thoughts?
