Shut downing while am connecting an usb

Make sure the mother board bios is at it newest rev. If plugging stuff in the back causes shut downs. Turn off the pc and unplug it from the wall. With a flashlight check that that metal motherboard shield is locked into place and none of the tabs are shorting out the mb. If it the front motherboard USB headers check for bent pins on both the case and the device your using. Also check that the USB header are connected right.
