Hi, I have an Istart2380 32 bit with upgraded 4gb RAM, AMD Athlon 64 3800+, upgraded Win7 Ultimate, and onboard 256mb nvidia 6100 nforce 405, motherboard M2NS-NVM (Socket AM2 ), 2x PCI slots 2x PCI-E slots according to Speccy.

Apart from the graphics card things are looking up for this old computer. :)
My computer really cant handle much but id like a bit more for gaming, my research suggests can handle no more than 512mb video card but I have found possibilities like 512mb Nvidia Geforce 240 or 8600, or even a couple of Radeon HD ones but I would like to know for sure before I pay out, if anyone could give me any pointers. Many thanks.

got any motherboard information? does it have a pci-e slot or only a pci slot?

if it has a pci-e slot, perhaps an amd 5450, nothing bigger.

updated the message with the required information, thanks for replying. I hope we can narrow this down to a graphics card that should be in there.
Geforce 240 does sound likely but is there any other compatible graphics cards? the link you gave me shows a picture with others guessing what they can see and commenting on it, I appreciate the link but it doesn't really give a straight forward solution.
