OK , I have

CPU- Intel I 5-3570k
Cooler- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
MOBO- Gigabyte Z77X-UD4H
PSU- Corsair TX750
memory- G.Skill Ripjaws 8gb(2x4gb) 1600mhz
Case- Fractal Design R4 should be delivered Monday (05/06/13)
GPU- will be bought when I get more overtime at work
SSD- not sure yet whether I will bother with one, PC is on at all times we use an internet phone

Trying to keep the initial cost down.

When the case gets in, I want to put my pc together and run it on the hd4000 integrated graphics till I get the GPU.

I am wanting to keep my old HDD a Western Digital Caviar Blue 640gb it is old but has a lot of old family pictures on it. I do plan on getting a new HDD in the future. The old HDD has my old OS on it (vista) that I want to upgrade to Win7. I am beginning to understand that I will have problems with drivers, I dont have a backup disk for the Vista.

Any suggestions that can help me out. Budget is very limited if I have to buy new HDD or OS it will prolong the build another month or two.

If you don't have a Vista disk you can download an iso of Vista and make a repair disk yourself then use it to install the correct drivers once you have it all plugged into the new hardware but make sure you backup your important data first. The new driver installs should not hurt anything but better to be safe than sorry. If you can plug everything up first and attempt to get into Windows go in and try to update the Windows update and see if it finds new drivers for your new hardware. If Windows update does not find any drivers go to you device manager and see which devices are having problems and download the appropriate driver for it.

You can normally just google vista iso and you can get a few results. Just be careful to only download from a trust worthy site. digitalriver is good website its a Microsoft website. I don't think contacting the manufacture will do you any good.
