SSD filling up too quickly

Hello everyone, a few months back I made a new PC with a 1 TB HDD and 64 GB SSD. I only have windows 7 and some other commonly used programs stored on the SSD. A few days ago it had about 13.7 GB free, but now it's randomly jumped down to 5.57 GB in a matter of about 2 days. This worries me because A) I don't have the money to buy a bigger SSD B) I don't want to give up having Windows on the SSD and putting it on HDD and C) Putting Windows on my HDD would basically defeat my purpose of getting the SSD. So hopefully someone has some tips on clean-up and keeping the amount of memory higher. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Realized why the memory filled up fast, accidentally installed a game to it instead of HDD. /Derp But I would still like some memory management tips please!

Check the folder named 'common files' in the program files folder. If you play games then a lot of temp files are stored there and you can usually delete them. Also, if you use steam, origin, ubi, etc. they tend to save game installers in the C drive (or whatever drive has the OD on), you can usually change the directory. There's lots of different things that can cause storage loss, but this was my biggest problem. good luck mate

Also, check your Download folder. There may be a lot of stuff in there.

Most browsers default saving stuff to the Download folder on C.
Create a new folder on the HDD. Call it whatever you want.
Change the default Save location in your browser(s) to that folder.
