Cpu aftermarket fan

Hi i'm just about to install a new cpu fan, when i unscrew the motherboard and take all the wires out and pull it out do i really have to take all the parts off (like the gpu and the RAM) to add the new fan or can i just leave them on whilst doing it

I would take the ram and the gpu of in order to have enough space to work in but if you think you have enough space then go for. Just make sure that you are grounded and that no electricity is in the machine
