This is my first build and I assembled the full computer (in the case before testing the components externally like an idiot) and all the plugs are in the right place according to my motherboard manual and it starts up and all the fans and LEDs are working, but there's no beep from the speaker on start up and it doesn't output anything to my monitor. Any help would be great.

Here's the full specs:
FX-4170 AMD Quad Core processor
ASUS GT620-DCSL-2GD3 GeForce DDR3 PCI express video card
MSI 970A-646 AMD 9 AM3+ AMD970 motherboard
Kingston 10th Anniversery 16GB(4x4GB) DDR3 DIMM memory

Where is the video output coming from? The onboard GPU, or a discreet GPU?

And which is connected to the monitor?

I connected the monitor through the added video card

Did you plug in a six-pin auxiliary power cable to the discrete video card (if it needs one)? If it needs aux. power and you didn't provide it, the system usually won't boot.

No beep, Check the seating of the cpu in the socket. Did it go in perfectly & securely?

theres no auxiliary plug in, but I left the computer on to see if it would warm up, I wonder if its not working or its just good at staying cool, It has not fans, so I expect it to heat up a little, but it doesn't seem to

The CPU slid right in nice and level and seemed fine, but the CPU fan fit really tight on it and I'm wondering if I couldn've done some damage to it in the proccess of attaching the fan
