GTX 660ti problem with BF3 and other

Hello people,

I'm having a big problem with Battlefield 3 (and Track Mania Stadium Open Beta):

My computer specifications:
Code: 
CPU: Intel i7 – 3770 (Ivy Bridge)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti Oc (GV-N66TOC-2GD )

The GPU driver is up to date.

When playing Battlefield 3, out of the blue the game freezes, the speakers beep right away. Then, after a (long) while the computer restarts itself...
This happened when playing with all settings on high, as well as with all settings on low. Singleplayer and multiplayer.

I've read that this could be a problem with the onboard Realtek audio device, so I disabled realtek driver in the BIOS menu and tried playing: same error ocurred after some time playing.

I don't know if it's a problem of the PSU with the GPU. Even though I bought the PSU with the recommended specifications, maybe it isn't enough...

Also, the GPU comes overclocked alredy. I thought of reducing it's clock, to see if it gets better. If you could tell me if it's a good idea, and how I could do it, I would thank :) (The GPU CD with the drivers came with a “Gigabyte OC Guru”, I wanna know if it's just a matter of reducing the clock itself or if I have to adjust voltage stuff as well).

The same problem happened when playing Track Mania Stadium Open Beta...
But when playing games like Borderlands (1 and 2), League of Legends and Left 4 Dead 2 this problem doesn't happen.

It's kinda hard to see, but basically in the last 18 mins of gameplay the GPU clock was around 1200, the memory was 6010(?), GPU voltage was 1.175 all the time and the temperature was around 71ºC.

could be a psu problem. what make and model psu do you have? unfortunately the psu market is not well regulated and manufacturers often make bogus claims about wattage. Always good to stick to well known brands that always produce their rated power such as Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX. A hard reboot is normally either psu, motherboard or ram issue. If the cpu overheats it normally will shutdown, not reboot, supposing you have the correct bios settings. One thing to do is check windows error logs, also disable automatic reboot on system failure by going to Start>right click Computer>properties>Startup And Recovery settings>and un-tick automatically restart. that will then show you the error when it happens rather than restarting, if that is what is happening, and you can look up the error code to get a better idea of the problem.

My PSU is a Corsair CX500. I'm trying to find something related to the graphics card on the Event Viewer, but don't know where it would be.
I unchecked the automatically restart computer functionality. Gonna test it and post the error code here.

PS.: Is there a way to measure if the PSU isn't suplying enough power to the GPU?
