ok im wondering where i can save some money in the pc i'm planning to build without seeing a performance decrease.also i have no interest in crossfire and overclocking so is 600 watts to much?

my rig
.corsair 200r $55
.intel i5 3470 $185
.gigabyte hd 7870 oc $240
.xfx 550w core $61
.wd blue 1tb $66
.8gb crucial ballistix ram $52
.windows 8 64 bit oem $90
.asrock h77 pro4/mvp $80

total:around 830

Solution
Get the ASrock H77M. It's about $30 cheaper than the board you have chosen. Also make sure you get a good 550W PSU. I suggest the XFX 550 Core. The reason being that the 7870 XT will use more power than a stock 7950 at idle and load. You can also get a CM Elite 430 or 431 if you can find it on sale, of course this is personal opinion.

I'd look into getting a GTX 660 over a 7870. Here's a recent chart that includes a 660 and a 7870 using NVIDIA 314.22 and AMD13.3 Beta 3 drivers. You can get some good GTX 660's right now for under $200.
