Upgrade from 560 Ti Hawk 300$ budget

I have a small budget of 300$ and would like to upgrade my Gaming PC. I have one HAWK and due to the 1GB limitation I would not like to SLI it. What would you fine gamers recommend I upgrade? if not the Graphics Card what else could improve my Rig for 300$?

My Rig:
i5 2500k OC @ 4.4ghz
Asrock Z68 extreme 3 gen 3
MSI 560ti hawk. Stock OC
8GB 1600 corsair low profile
Pc power and cooling 750w 80+ silver.
128Gb OCZ agility 4
2x 500gb hdd
ASUS 24" 1080 Monitor.

The 7950 seems to be the choice of AMD fans, so don't get the wrong impression that there is any real significant performance difference. It will depend on the game, which one is going to eek out a few more FPS. So it's comes down to personal preference and whether you feel comfortable making the switch to the world of AMD. That's not necessarily a decision to be made...

You seem to be missing a CPU cooler. If that's the case, I'd grab a Sapphire 7870 XT and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. If not, I would go with (as pantherr said) a 7950.

I bought a 212 Evo cooler that keeps my CPU @ 4.4ghz. Forgot to add that to the build.

I would never recommend a 660 ti over a 7950.Especially if overclocking ovrclocked 7950 spanks a gtx 680.The limited memory bus gies the 660 ti alot less life as far as future proofing also

Any suggestions on brand or specific 7950 that overclocks well, and build quality is something I look for.

For AMD GPUs, you can't go wrong with ASUS and Sapphire.

That's not necessarily a decision to be made lightly.

All the same, it's not the best time to be making a video card purchase, since the GTX 780 is due to be released at the end of the month, with the 770 and 760 Ti close behind, which might have an impact on pricing.

What games are you going to be playing? The 7950 has it's merit, but if you're playing games that can take advantage of PhysX, it's all the difference in the world.

I had an almost identical build to yours and I needed to upgrade my 560TI. I ended up choosing a 670 over a 7970 because I needed PhysX for Planetside 2. It looks amazing.

I will be playing BF3-4, Arma 2-3, Company of Heroes 2, and other steam games. I don't like planetside 2 very much.

I was planning on getting feedback and then waiting until the release and maybe staying with Intel. Just getting a feel for preferences and best bang for my buck.
