It seems the usb ports on my computer randomly glitch out for a few seconds. I am seeing the following symptoms with regards to keyboard, mouse, and headset:
-Not functioning momentarily then recovering
-Not functioning but still lit, sometimes recovers be unplugging and then re-plugging them
-Not functioning and not lit sometimes recovers be unplugging and then re-plugging them
-Sometimes they will not recover at all, however if I switch to a different USB port they will start working, even if it is one that was previously not working

I could find similar problems online, but this seems a little different. I am guessing it is either the motherboard or windows, but wanted to see what other people thought, before I do any major troubleshooting.

Thank you for your time, and please let me know if I can provide any additional information.

Thanks for the quick idea, but I am not overclocking. It happens usually when I am playing a game (probably because I am usually playing games if I am on my pc), but has happened when I am just browsing the web.

Nice picture by the way.

It happens randomly, to usually all three at once, but sometimes just one or two of them. I have tried swapping out different keyboards and a different mouse, but it still would fail. Also, the headset is often unplugged and not in use during these failures.

However, I could try to run backups at the same time, and if there is a failure that lasts more than a few seconds, try to unplug the primary and see what happens. I am not sure where that will get me, but maybe something will come out of it...
