Hi,
I just put together my entirely new build and I'm having a problem. Windows installer isn't recognizing my 256GB Samsung 840 Pro as a place to install Windows into. I know that the SSD works, as I have plugged it into someone else's computer. Any idea what might be the problem here? As far as I know, all components work. Also, the installer doesn't give me any option to do anything else besides install on a (nonexistant) drive. Please help!

make sure the firmwares up to date, possibly try loading drivers? or preformat the drive, make sure unnecessary things are not hooked up, make sure its seeing the drive in the bios? idk just some food for thought.

You should supply some more info about the rest of your system, especially the model/chipset of your motherboard.

Try updating UEFI/BIOS.
Make sure the drive is set to AHCI mode.

Have you tried multiple sata ports?
How about another drive in your system, see if there's just a problem with the mobo detecting a drive at all.
