Cannot play games

Whenever I try to start up any game, I get the message game.exe has stopped working. I have tried to reinstall my video drivers and disable DEP, neither have been effective. Also, if I have to reinstall directx, can someone let me know how without reinstalling my entire OS?

For microsoft dirx software google directx June update and you get the link to the newest dirx installer. I would also run malware and good anti virus scan. Game.exe should not be popping up for all games. Most games have there own exe start program inside the game itself.

Well, when I said game.exe, I meant whatever game i was playing .exe, should have been more clear, i'll try that though

Try downloading hirem boot cd. Run memtest86 from the disk check for bad ram. Run anti virus sweep too. Try running ccleaner clean up the hard drive and registry. If you have to try downloading drive sweeper for the gpu drivers. Boot into safe mode uninstall the drivers and run the drive sweeper.
If your still having issue see if your account in windows is damaged.
Make a new user for testing and see if any of the games will run.
