Hello, let me start out saying that my knowledge of buying/building PCs is very limited. I want to get a pre-built because I've never built a pc, and I would like to keep the cost to under $1000.

I've looked around for a while and have came up with a pre-built that looks like what I want.

It's specs:
Intel Core i3 3220 Processor running at 3.3GHz
Asus P8B75-M LX Motherboard with USB 3.0 and 6gbps SATA
8GB PC3-10666 DDR3 Memory
ATi Radeon 7770 1GB Graphics Card
700watt Chillblast PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Will this be able to run Skyrim/Diablo 3 max settings (1920x1080, with AA)?

The PC can be customized so if needed I could switch out the i3 for a i5 3570k for a bit more money, same with the 7770 to maybe a 7850.

TL;DR:
http://www.chillblast.com/Chillblast-Fusion-Wolverine.html Yes/No? for Skyrim/D3

Thanks

That would definitely be able to max out Diablo however, upping the 7770 to a 7850 or a 7870 will give a dramatic increase in performance which you will need for Skyrim, not so much for Diablo. I use a 3220 and a Radeon 7770 so I know this from personal experience. If you don't mind FXAA, you will be able to max out Skyrim with a 7770. However, if you don't like the way the edges look with FXAA, you may want to bump your video card up a bit.

The pc with the 7770 in it is $778 and with the 7850 it's $955...so either way I'll be under budget :)

Even sticking with prebuilts, you can surely get more than that for $1,000. Have you considered the Digital Storm Vanquish line? Not the most efficient builds, to be sure, but much better than that.

Edit: Ah, that'd be the $800 dollar one. Nonetheless, Digital Storm's are still somewhat better, unless there's some huge merit to the Chillblast that I've missed.

Do you a link to a pre-built that would be ideal from that line? I've never heard of it. lol

This one is $1,000 model. It has a superior CPU, a good cooler, a better GPU, and it comes overclocked: http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadvanquish.asp?id=808800&price=%24999

Edit: Wait, did you get both the i5-3570k AND the 7850 for $1,000, or just one of the above?

You want a i5 3570 and a h77 mb as the base and a min of a 650ti bost card for the gpu. Look at cyber power and other per made gaming pc sights for coupons and weekly deals. Some of them this weekend have free upgrade from a 660 video card to a 670.

Just one

Yeah, in that case I would definitely go with the Vanquish, if you can. The 7850 and the 650 Ti are normally tied, but the Vanquish comes with a Superclocked 650 Ti, while the Chillblast seems to be using a stock 7850.

Gonna look into it!

Glad to hear it. Happy gaming!

Just a quick tip when the new pc shows up don't plug it In and power it right on.open the side panel on the pc make sure none of the ram or cards have bounced out during shipping. If a dimm is in half way and you power on your rig you can fry your rig. Your better off taking 5 min on a brightly lite room to check for any shipping issues.
