Hi guys, right now i am playing crysis 3 on the max setings (1080p), but i have a question: why when i choose FXaa i have a better image quality with almost no jaggies than with MSaa? Shouldn`t be the other way? Almost everyone says that MSaa is better than FXaa, but realy what i experience is that FXaa has better quality.
how the hell can that be????

All anti-alias settings come down to preference. Personally I don't notice much of a difference between different types of AA and usually find a moderate amount of AA to be fine. FXAA having the smallest performance hit, I tend to go with that when possible. If you prefer it then it simply becomes a no-brainer to use in place of regular MSAA / SMAA.

Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing (FXAA) is an anti-aliasing algorithm created by Timothy Lottes under NVIDIA.[1] It was first used on several games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The term generally refers to a special case of supersampling. Initial implementations of full-scene anti-aliasing (FSAA) worked conceptually by simply rendering a scene at a higher resolution, and then downsampling to a lower-resolution output.

Got those from the wiki. You really dont need anything more than 4x AA at 1080p

Hii.. Thanks, for your help, but can you tell me why i dont Need more than 4x AA at 1080p? is that because of the Resolution beeing higher than 720p for example?
