I am using a Sony vaio e series laptop like the newest one w/ a i5-3210m processor and 4gb ram a 500gb hard drive and ive had it for about a month now
so it has windows 8 installed obviously and i've noticed that i've had an unusually high percentage in memory and disk percentages
at some moments my disk will spike to 100 and everything will start to screw up
i dont let the computer overheat it dissipates heat well and when it does start to warm up i let it cool down
can someone give me some advice as to why a processor w/ 2.5ghz speed not to mention AN i5 PROCESSOR!!! is having this much issues
when my hp pavilion slimline that spots a low end pentium processor can handle way more??????
and for the record my desktop is windows 7 based
I'd appreciate any help that you all can give. Thank you for reading this

Could be a few things. If it windows 32 bit then the pc with the onboard gpu may be running out of ram. With windows 32 bit max ram the p can use is around 3.2 g then you lose some do to the intel ipgpu using the system ram for video ram. If it a low ram issue you can try and change the video ram size and see if anything changes. If it windows 64 and low memory issue you can toss in another dimm to help the laptop. The other issue could be that there spyware or bloat ware on the system. Try running malware bytes to see if there any spyware. For installed bloat ware use msconfig and turn everything off but your anti virus in start up and see of it helps.
