Discarding old (completely broken) system

I have an old Dell Dimension E510 that's been sitting stripped apart in the corner of my living room and I need to know how to go about discarding it. I've already removed everything from it, except the motherboard as the screws were stripped ages ago. I know I shouldn't just put it in the trash, as there is mercury in the motherboard. So how do I go about discarding it?

P.S. this system is so old that I've built 2 whole new systems since I finished using it. xD

Take it to your local staples, compUSA, bestbuy. They will have a place for it. Also, your local dump will have an electronics section.

Also check with your local Goodwill. They have a partnership with Dell to reuse and recycle electronics.

Thanks guys. Will be saying a very non-saddening goodbye to this thing. Was our family computer growing up. All it takes is a junker that messes up a bunch for you to learn how to do this stuff. Now I build my own XD!!!
