Hello th's forum. This is my first post and i'm kinda a noob in hardware matters so i'd ask you to be a little patient and a bit more detailed when you answer me.

The specs of my pc:
Motherboard is Gigabyte P55M-UD2.
CPU: Intel Core i5 750
4 gb ram
and my current gpu is Radeon HD 4650.

My problem:
I am playing dota 2. With my current gpu i can't play dota 2 in high quality graphics and i still have low fps. Which is frustrating.

So with a budget of at most 140 euros i want to change my gpu since i don't really think my pc needs something more for what i am doing.

After reading a post from tom's hardware i decided to go for:
GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16

And the PCI Express 3.0 x16 is my problem. I checked my motherboard's specs and it has pci slot, pci express x16 and pci express 2.0 x16.

Does this mean that the gpu i want is not compatible with my motherboard? What can i do?

Thank you all in advance.

1) Read the Dota 2 Performance, Benchmarked here, http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dota-2-performance-benchmark,3481.html
I think your PC is fine for the game.
2) Other review will show you pcie3 is only less 10% better than pcie2.0 in performance. But is you want to upgrade you need buy the whole new set hardware, like MB(z77 for the pcie3.0) and the CPU lga1155, because the i5-750 is the lga1156.

3)I think you are better buy the cpu cooler to OC your i5. one like has the 120mm fan on in.
XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 120mm , COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO.

My main question and concern was whether i could or not use this gpu on my motherboard
I guess my PSU supplies these changes, is there a way to check what PSU i have so i can be sure?
