Just overclocked my i5 3570K whats average cpu temp?

I just used the MSI OC Genie to OC my i5 3570K intel processor. For one, is using the OC genie by MSI pretty good to use? and two, are my temps normal it says my cores are lingering around 30 celsius and i havent done any gaming or anything for about 30 minutes? and what are the high temps i should be cautious of just so i know for the future. thanks!

First of all, you should NEVER overclock using software. Besides the fact that it will overvolt, it can cause all sorts of stability problems. Always, ALWAYS overclock your processor through your bios.

As for temperature, 30c is about average for idle on a stock heatsink. You shouldn't let the processor get over about 80c under full load.

What CPU cooler do you have? Please don't say stock - if it is, then even before you overclock the right way, you need to buy a cooler. The Hyper 212 EVO is a great option and only costs $30.

Let prime95 run for about 30-45 minutes and see what temps you can get. Theoretically, you can get up to 105 degrees celicus till the CPU starts to decrease its clock speed, but would go for about 80-85 max.
