So you ask for advice on your issue. Get some advice, and then say, I dont think thats the problem. Ok, well enjoy your freeze frame gaming. By the way. Games freezing is a good sign that there is instability in your setup, ie; games freezing when you load them cause the PSU isnt supplying enough power to your GPU. Sooner or later people will stop cheaping out on the most important component in their PC.

Your power supply is likely the issue here. A while back I was using an APOWER brand 680 watt power supply that was only $32 on ebay. I thought, wow what a good deal. It seemed like it had way more power than I really needed. I also used a Athlon II X4 645(3.1GHz) with a GTX 460 1GB 256bit version. The power supply had enough amps on the +12 volt rails and certainly had enough power weighing in a 680 watts... But it just couldn't hold up. It burnt out on me after only 52 days and I didn't even game that much. After that I bought a Corsair 750TX V2 and had no more issues. I even upgraded to a GTX 470 and ran 2 of them in SLI. That machine is still running today and overclocked too I might add. A good quality power supply can make all the difference in the world.

Your power supply likely isn't giving your graphics card enough power and that's why your system isn't running so well. That can happen. I've experienced it first hand. Soon you may smell burning and shortly afterwards your computer will shut off and stay off until you buy a new power supply.
