Just bought a new computer with a gtx 680, and now i see that 700-series is rumoured to be right around the corner. Should i go jump off the roof, or do you guys think that the price for 680's will drop so i can buy an additional 680 for cheaper later on and that will out perform a 780?

I know it is just speculations right now, and none can say how well the new gen will performe, but what do you guys think as it stands?

Maybe instead of jumping off the roof, you should just throw your 680 off and buy a 780 when they release. I actually doubt the price/performance will be dramatically better at release anyways though. If you want to keep a performance rig up to date you just have to accept a quickly declining value on your purchases. You'll feel better if you just accept it as a loss as soon as you purchase your new tech, I mean who says you can't "waste" some of your money on new graphics cards regularly?
