Buying a new PC and wondering what this copy of Win7 actually does? Can I just insert the disc into the PC and it installs the OS? I was just confused what the "upgrade" means, does is have to replace a previous OS on the storage drive, or can it act as a fresh install on a new SSD?
Thanks

and also, if someone could take a look at these two monitors and tell me the difference that would be great;

The "upgrade" version is intended to be installed with a previous version like Windows Vista. You really want the full version, Home, Pro, or Ultimate. This doesn't apply to you , but If you have a previous version installed you would have the opportunity to do a "Clean install" with an upgrade version. Once it sees that an existing "activated" version is on the machine it would allow you to wipe it clean and install W7 fresh. You will need a full version for your SSD!

If the PC is from a company like Dell , HP , Apple it should come with an operating system already on it , if not you should configure the bios to read the disk. If it's an upgrade it just overwrites your previous OS but thats if you already have one on you're SSD or hard drive... If the storage system is new then it should install it as new.

The BenQ is 3D vision ready , 4/10 of an inch small than the Acer. The BenQ offers slightly greater brightness option. The contrast ratio of the BenQ is greater . The BenQ seems to be a better choice which I can understand do to the slight price difference because its on sale.

So here's the thing, I'm currently using a HDD which I got when I bough my Dell PC and it has Win7 on it now. Problem is, there are old graphcs card drivers buried deep somewhere in the hard drive and I can't for the life of me get to delete them. I've tried a dozen times with driver sweepers and they work for a day or two, but then suddenly my games don't run properly, as if my old drivers are back clashing again. It's hard to explain sorry, but I'm getting an SSD to host my games and OS and then I plan to wipe my old HDD fresh and use it for storage. I read that you can't transfer OS from HDD to SDD, especially since it came from Dell (the model was an XPS 8300 if that helps). So will I need to buy a new one, or can I use the one I linked above?
Thanks for the replies :D

Oh so I can tranfer! :D Will I need the key to unlock win7 or not? My OS came on the HDD so I got no disk or key
As in, will I need the key to activate the OS on the new drive or no?
