I have question, is there any options of when I am replacing a HD on a computer and don't have any recovery cds? Companies are charging way too much for recovery CDs' now. The computers I work on have the product keys on them but except for buying a whole new operating system or paying the company a fee what are the options. Do you guys just have a copy of all operating systems to fix this type of thing?

Do you have a Retail or OEM key? Will you use the same PC or get the new onw?
1)If you will use the same PC, then buy the new HDD. You can follow the link for reinstillation the win7.
2)If you have the retail key you can do the same on either new or old PC, but you need re-activate the win7 by auto-phone system (free call) for the new PC.
3) If you have the OEM key, and you are out of luck. For the new PC you need the a new copy of win7.

You can still download all versions of Windows 7 from DigitalRiver. They are an official Microsoft partner and as such the downloads are 100% legitimate. Of course you still need a product key to activate them.

The difference between these copies of Windows 7 and a standard recovery disk is they come with no additional software or drivers. Things like Wireless, Sound, Bluetooth etc will not work until you install the necessary drivers. You can usually download all the drivers you need from the manufacturers website.

This website has links to all the Windows 7 downloads - http://malwaretips.com/blogs/download-windows-7-sp1-iso/

There are no official downloads available for Vista or XP and currently Windows 8 can only be downloaded when a copy is purchased. Hopefully this changes as I could do with copies of all versions.

Also keep in mind that many computers now come with a recovery partition (quite often hidden) from which you can restore to factory settings.
