Best Graphics Cards for around $150

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card from the incapable 1 gb ddr3 graphics card my computer came with. Unfortunately, my budget is about $150. What is the best graphics cards I can get for around that price?

I find THG's game test suite a bit too small to make reliable judgements and their changing of the price categories each month opens the question of why they do that ? However, this article matched just about everything else I have read.
