While I am not voting to WANT this system, I DO like the idea of it.
I have seen a crowd funded case in the past and it did very well getting another company to make them and such. It may be an ideal path for you as well. They got Lian-Li to build it for them too.

Having the video card on one side and the cpu on the other should help with cooling for sure.
For a non professional designer, I think you did a good job. Now it is just a matter of finding some people or a company to finance it.
If the end users do not need too much power, A SFX power(as opposed to the TFX that the system has now) supply may save you some space(maybe for users with more hard drives or SSDs) as well.
When compared to the notebook dvd drive, you can see it is quite a small power supply. They can be had upto 450 watts(from FSP) for the time being.

Three years ago I first SFX make my sample, but considering its hot air emissions, and the comparison of the overall use of space, I have chosen to TFX power supply that can be shared with IPC
Two years ago, I looked for FSP this company, they made the following answer
(1) they SFX products, the highest can support only a 6 +2 pin level graphics card, the 450W and PULS specifications of labeling application, are carried by their customers, the MOQ = 3k months, than their customers the end of a price expensive,
(2) Unless the market changes, or even to invest, they will not carry out the development and production of TFX
