What card do you guys think could Max skyrim on ultra, with all the best graphic mods out there like realvision enb, flora overhaul, etc... With 40+ fps.

It should be similar, but does your PSU have 4 x PCI-e power connectors for 2 x GTX 660 Ti's?? I would opt for the 7970 (only needs 2 x 6 pin PCI-e power connectors) just for the simplicity of it all. No SLI drivers needed or if a game doesn't do too well with SLI, which I think there are some still out there. It's up to you, but I'd opt for the 7970 or even a GTX 670, if you like nVidia.

Here is an example between the 2 cards:

"I think that is not a Ghz Edition card. It is good that you choose a card with custom cooler. As for Nvidia vs AMD debate: Those cards perform similarly in games. 7970 may jump ahead when overclocked but for the cost of high power consumption. Honestly, both cards will provide you the same level of smoothness and satisfaction, you can be sure of that. A GTX 670 when overclocked can also reach and well surpass the gaming performance of a GTX 680.

Nvidia GTX 670:
- Pure gaming card with high 3d capability
- Acceleration in CUDA and OpenCL -- CUDA and OpenCL lets your GPU compute stuff instead of your CPU and get the work done much more quickly (like some media/content creation apps and some games will take advantage of this in the future))
- Relatively low power consumption
- Price much cheaper than that of a GTX 680 but can reach the same level of performance
- Potential to overclock
- In some games better than HD 7970
- Integrated GPU Physx engine, 3d support, bundled games etc

AMD HD 7970:
- Very strong gaming card with strong compute capability in OpenCL acceleration (often faster than Nvidia cards in OpenCL computing)
- Some higher power consumption compared to GTX 670
- High potential for overclocking with a custom cooler. Same PCB and same specifications with 7970 Ghz Edition. Theoretically you can reach at and well beyond the performance level of Ghz edition and GTX 680, IF YOU OVERCLOCK
- In some games better than GTX 670
- Higher memory bandwidth
- Good multi monitor support
- 3d support (i don't know which card is better at this)

At last, this is all about what you want to do with your PC. If mostly gaming, choose whichever you can find cheaper. If you have choice of games you want to play, then pay attention which card performs better at those. Finally, you can't go wrong whichever you choose"

Agreed. I run Superb ENB with a 7870 and it isn't good at all. If you can get the 7970, I would go for it.

Only reason id go sli would be for better performance. Yes my PSU has 4 pcie connectors.
Reason I'm debating over all these is because I am afraid of spending such high $$$ on a card that might not have the performance I want.

Is the 7970 vaporx ghz edition better then a gtx 680?

Video didnt work?
Ok well these are his specs
"Intel i5-2500K@4,3GHz
NVidia GTX 680 OC GPU Boost @ 1200MHz
16GB DDR3
10GB RAM-Disk for textures
120GB SSD for Win7 64
60GB SSD for Skyrim
1TB HD 7200rpm"
He said he gets 40-60fps during noemal gameplay. I was hoping to get some big npc battles in as well though so that's why I'm unsure.
