i decided to clean my laptop after 2 years...everything went normal, dissasembly/cleanning/assembly went fine, but after powering my laptop, my frames dropped dramatticaly every game i play...i know i must have make a backup, but i hurryed like an idiot...
everything is on high performance, laptop setting, gpu setting, my drives are up-to-date...i dunno what to do...can someone help me please?
my specs are:

windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
intel core i5 2430m@2.4 ghz
nvidia gt 540 m 1 gb
4 gb ddr3
640 gb hdd

My first guess is that maybe you have messed the thermal paste up on the CPU/GPU or both of them. This would cause your temperatures to run unusually high, which then would throttle your CPU/GPU down to control the temperatures. This in turn would slow your performance down.

nope, i detached only the fan, the two cooper pipes from cpu/gpu didn't move an inch
L.E>>i started a temperature-measurment program, and after 10 mins in WOW gaved me the following data:
GPU 63
CORE 70
Hdd 60
not high temps though, i guess

Can you hear or see if the fan is spinning? It's possible it's not plugged in causing your heatsync to heat up and your cpu/gpu to auto downclock to keep from overheating.

in full load in World of Warcraft with settings in ultra, the temperature didn't jumped more that 75 degrees, so i do not think is some hardware problem...could be possible that my drivers might be corrupted? so that they don't switch the cards when i enter in games, instead of nvidia gpu, the intel gpu from cpu remain active?
sorry 4 my bad english though:):D

L.E...old games like serious sam 2 and nfs underground 2 work with 60 fps, but when i enter new ones like crisis and gta iv, i have 10-15 fps...i think that my cards dont switch, what should i do?
