I need help in replacing my hybrid drive (500 GB HDD +32 GB mSATA) with a SSD in my HP dv4t-5100 laptop. I bought a new Samsung 500GB SSD and was trying to clone my drive to the SSD. I cloned my HDD to SSD with Apricorn Ez-Gig software and replaced it in my laptop. But when I boot up my laptop it directly takes me to a BIOS screen asking me to press CTL+I and then it goes to RAID screen where I am not able change or select anything. So I replace my HDD back again and my laptop started fine. Now to add more trouble, when I connect the SSD through an SATA-USB cable, it shows the SSD as USB Mass storage device with no contents in it. Appreciate any help.

your computer might be running in RAID mode. you should call HP support and have them help you switch it to AHCI mode which is the mode that is suggested and best supported for SSD's.

Thanks for your reply David. Is it possible to change the mode to AHCI without any changes to the motherboard? Do I have to change any settings in Intel Rapid Storage Controller too?

it should be within your bios, but manufacturers usually hide the option in prebuilt machines, that's why i suggest contacting their support.
