Can I crossfire my 7870 with this motherboard.

Yes you can. The performance however will be quite bad, as it only features 1 PCI-E 2.0 x16, which actually also is outdated.

It really depends on if you have bought a CPU yet. Most AMD MOBOs only feature PCI-E 2.0.
In the end the invesment depends on your needs. If you game a lot like me and is quite a perfectionist when it comes to graphics, then yes, it would be very wise to invest more.
If you don't, then I think you can figure out the answer for yourself.
