Hi guys,
i've decided to build myself a new gaming rig and this is gonna be my first one.
CPU - i7 3770K
Motherboard - Asus Maximus V Formula
Graphics Card - AMD 2 gb DDR5
Cabinet - NZXT Phantom
I wanted to set up water cooling on my pc since the Maximus Formula already has Thermo Fusion slots for cooling plus the cabinet has pre drilled holes but I'm a total noob at this so only if some1 could teach me about water cooling i would be very thankful as I don't yet know which company makes the best watercooler products or what all you need to buy so i need some help figuring out what all i'll need for setting up the watercooling.
Thanks :D

Your best bet is to read through the water cooling forums here on Toms. The first couple stickies will get you a lot better informed and fairly up to date.
2) For a gaming rig, you probably want to get the 3570k instead of the 3770k, spend the xtra hundred bux on a better video card. In fact, get the fastest card you can afford. I only say this cause you have 2Gb DDR5 listed and the faster cards have 3 or more from AMD, 4 or more from NVidia, even though the NVidias come in 2Gb flavors, and even *that* would be monitor dependent.

At the current market price it makes sense to get the i7 3770k (if you have a microcenter near you). If not then it’s your call if you want the extra CPU power, it helps in CPU extensive games (FSX, WoW, etc...).

Read the stickies up top...they help A LOT. That really isn't an understatement, the forum members who took the time to write them cannot be thanked enough!

Read, learn, and apply!

Lots of talks here: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=71
And here: http://xtremesystems.org/

It’s taken me about a month or so to get up to speed on the basics of water cooling (I’m anal about what I get, so it may take you less time). My point is, the more you know, the more informed decisions you can make and not make any mistakes in your implementation. That is all.

Also worth pointing out that the GPU RAM is a really really bad way to assess GPU performance. 2GB will be plenty, but make sure it's on a card which makes the i7 worth it - 670 or 7950 at least. Otherwise it'll be better to stick with an i5 and put the rest into the GPU.

The VRAM itself is a bad way of assessing performance, but in the AMD lineup is a pretty good indicator of the tier of card the OP is going for. Namely he's getting a 7800 series card, which makes no sense given the overkill motherboard and CPU.
For gaming performance, GPU is king. Get a cheap motherboard before you cheap out on the graphics card.

How about I get a 7950 3GB with a if 3570k and the maximus v formula.. my budget allows me to go either with the 3770k or the 7950.. so which would be the better option?
Thanks for your help guys :hello:

Drop the Maximus V altogether, you really dont need the features it offers for a gaming rig. A Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H, AsRock Z77 Extreme4 or ASUS P8Z77-V LK are all you need for a gaming rig.
Dont need the i7 either, its Hyperthreading is near useless in games currently.
