Hi! So that's what happened. I can't get any display at all, regardless of what cable I use. I've even tried to hook up my tv via hdmi and svga.

A previous discussion recommended the unplug/psu off method, which didn't work. The next suggestion was the CMOS battery, also no joy there. Let me reiterate that I'm seeing absolutely no display, even during log on.

I'd just take it to a shop, but I'm serving a tour in Korea and don't want to have to fight the language barrier, and inevitably lose that battle. Help me!

Very odd, just to clarify: No display at all, not even a boot screen?
Can you access another card? Anything will do, it will not matter if no drivers are installed for it, Windows and the card should provide a basic VGA display (typically 800x600), and you should then be able to boot either normally or into Safe Mode to troubleshoot further.

Do you still see the BIOS splash screen? Last time I used driver sweeper I got stuck in a BSOD loop at startup and ended up formatting/reinstalling windows. Never use that junk. Always manully delete all the registry keys. I forget where the guide is at for doing that though.
