I have a MA785GM-US2H(gigabyte) motherboard and I wanted to get more ram memory.

My computer specs are:

graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4200
processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor 2.51 GHZ 2.75 ram

I have never built a custom computer and this one was built for me. I was wondering what is this Overlocking? And do I need to set some stuff in my BIOS?
Main reason I use this comp is for gaming. Thank you in advance.

go visit gigabyte's website, then go look for your boards model, then look around, you should see "supported memory" link, similar to supported cpu.
it does not mean that it wont work with other rams though, it's just a list of what they have tested.
ram compatibility problems are rare nowadays. almost any ddr3 will work with ddr3 capable boards
