Hello,

I'm trying to set up my computer so that it can run both 64 bit and 32 bit Office (mainly Excel).

I need 64 bit because I work with fairly large spreadsheets, so being able to utilize more than 2gb of RAM makes a huge difference.

However, I also have a few addons I use occasionally that are only supported on 32 bit Excel.

I know setting up a VM will work, but I would prefer a simple method.

Someone mentioned I could install two different versions of Office (ie. 2013 and 2007) in different "bitness" on the same computer. Would anyone know more about that process?

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

you can install both versions on the same computer without using different releases (for instance, instead of 2007x86 and 2010x64, you can use 2010x86 and 2010x64)

you only need the original setup files/discs for both x86/x64 versions...

well I dont know how it handles the processes though. probably it depends on how you start the applications, like you work with x86 if you start x86 and so on...
