So I had a very short power cut last night. It came back on within 15 seconds and I saw my pc launch surge protection. It displayed all the correct info, included the full 16GB of memory.

Unfortunately then the power cut in and out around four times, when surge protection relaunched it only displayed 8GB of memory.

I have tried clearing cmos, I flashed my mobo to the latest firmware and still no success. CPU-Z however seems to be picking up the full 16GB.

I've checked all memory sticks and they all work individually, as well as all the slots. The only way it will read though is as either A1 B1 or A2 B2.. But combine them and it will only read one of the two combinations.

PC spec:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bit

Any ideas on what's gone wrong?

Thank you
