Hi

I keep getting the Blue Screen error on my Dell Studio 1555. So far, Dell has had me reinstall drivers, reinstall Windows, and has replaced my laptop's motherboard and fan, but nothing has helped luck. Where can I go from here? Anyone have any advice for me? My computer is under warranty, but Dell's service techs don't seem to be able to get to the bottom of what's causing this.

Here is the info from my Blue Screens (if this helps; I have no idea what it means, and I apologize if I've included too much info here.)

Thank you so much, Jim_L9--I really appreciate your help. Should I try the two suggestions below? I guess I'd Google for instructions on _how_ to run those tests. And do they take a long time? Trying to think if I should run them now or overnight.

I would suggest to test the physical RAM with a memory tester such as Memtest86.

Also, run a chkdsk /r on the hard drive.

Running a chkdsk /r has the potential to take a long tome and, as general precaution, back up any critical files beforehand.

Memtest86 is a great way to test your memory. If your BIOS has a memory test you could try that.

The chkdsk /r will likely take a few hours. A backup wouldn't hurt, but isn't a requirement.
