Any Issues with Today's Hardware on yesterday's PSU?

I recently decided it was time for a new computer. I'm using the Q1 $1000 build for the most part with the exception of using
this Motherboard and a 1TB HDD instead of of the SSD.

My question, however, hovers around the power supply. about 5 years ago I purchased This PSU and would like to know if it'll work fine for the build or if I need to grab something else.

I appreciate the input on this.

Checking at www.80plus.org, the 80Plus badge on that PSU was legitimate. Since it was good for 100% of its label, I'd say it would have no trouble. Overclocked, the build you're considering needed 400W at the wall. Even if capacitor aging has knocked 25% off the output of that PSU, you've got plenty to spare, even considering that 80Plus tests at the unrealistic temperature of 23C.

Well..
5 years is a long age for an electronic stuff..

Usually, PSU will suffer something that called capacitors aging
Capacitors have a lifespan and their effectiveness decreases with age, as the result the capacitors in the PSU lose some of their capacitance, thus being able to put out less Wattage than what they are rated for.

So, you must assume that your psu will not deliver 800watt and lower efficiency..

Some psu calculator tools give 30% output penalty for an (very) old PSU.
Base on that assumption, you'll be fine if you only using up to 560 watt from your current PSU.
