Like the title says, I am fairly new to building gaming PC's. I'm looking to spend around $1,000 dollars although if it's worth it, I can bump it up to $1,200. I'm looking to run games such as Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: BO2, and ArmA:2. This budget does not include monitors, keyboards, or a mouse.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who helps.

Keep in mind, I put the 750 watt psu in the build in case you want to buy another 7950 and crossfire, you would have more than enough power.

A $120 cooling system on a $1,000-1,200 build? That seems like overkill, particularly given that he could swap that out for a Coller Master Hyper 212 Evo and use the difference to buy a 7970. Overall, I feel that this build is more than a little unbalanced, and would suggest one more along these lines:

Sorry, I'm doing a build similar to the one I posted and figured I would put that in as an idea. Completely forgot that not everyone is going to be doing any crazy overclocking :p

No worries. I actually quite like the Kraken, and use one myself, but it's a tad much for the average $1-1.2k build, to my thinking.

In that case, maybe you can help me to perfect my build. I'll start another post so we don't take up this guy's.
