I'm running Windows 7, EVGA Micro SLI MB with Boston Acoustic BA7800 5.1 Speaker System, the satellite speaker with the Volume, Surround & Subwoofer Controls has the Headphone & Microphone plug-in's on the side 3.5mm. I'm looking for a soundcard that will give that will give me powerful sound for music, movies, but will also work when plugging my headset with microphone into the satellite speaker for gaming. I have been using my onboard audio from my MB...but only two satellites speakers work but when I plug my headphones I can hear and speak while gaming. I have a SBlaster X-fi Gamer card that was not supported by Win7 at the time of the pc build so just waited for the driver release, after installing the driver the mic still did not work, so decided to remove the install and it almost toasted my system.....took 6 days and several attempts of system restore just to get things back to normal.....therefore not really interested in another SB card..+ the support s**ks, even the phone numbers are dis-connected. So before buying a new audio card I really need some help here..........thanks.

System
EVGA Micro SLI MB
Intel i7 920 Processor
24gig DDR3 Ram
Nvidia GTX260 Max OverClock55 896mg Ram
Boston Acoustic BA7800 5.1 Speaker System

Thanks DarkSable for your response. I had these speakers on my old system Win XP with a SBlaster Live and there was a BIG difference and extremely powerful......the sound was like a high power home stereo system, headphone & microphone worked perfectly, it's got me confused........could you be more specific regarding the $20 Asus card....model # ect.....
