is 2gb for ddr5 ram enough for a 50" tv

hi guys just a quick question if you would be so nice iam playing my pc on a 50" plasma tv in 1080p and am running a gtx670 which is boosting to 1200mhz and a 3570k 8gb of ram and an ssd and was wondering was my 2gb of ddr5 ram enough for my display? on some games farcry3 and metro2033 just cant seem to get it to run right bf3 is fine so was wondering was it just drivers or set up, maybe i need a hd7970 with 3gb of ram? ive only been pc gaming for a year so still wet behind the ears any help would be nice thanks

The physical size of a TV makes zero difference for gaming, but the resolution of said display will.

1920x1080 resolution with 2GB of VRAM is plenty at this point in time except a few games such as Skyrim when it's heavily modded.

3GB of VRAM will make no difference for you except in very specific situations like heavily modded Skyrim.
