Serious answers only, please. So my computer needs about 350w to run stable. My PSU is a 550w logysis. But something about the 12v main rail is 25a (you multiply to voltage on the line times 12) and it gives you the wattage). So it's only giving about 300w. It says the average output is 400w but it can't be because my system isnt running on it. My system is only a few days old (custom build) and now the PSU won't even turn on. It doesn't do anything when I hit the power. About 5-10 seconds later I head a screech that sound like if you hit the flash button on a disposable camera, or if a hard drive was unplugged in use (I have an ssd and no DVD drive so it can't be that shutting on and off). It almost sounds like some electrical thing. The reason I think it blew is because it has a switch to make it 115v or 230v. I live in North America so it should be set to 115v I think. It still failed on 115v. Then I switched it to 230v to see if it would help, it did nothing. Now when it shut off it won't turn back on. Either way it would shut off, and on both voltages it would turn back on but this time it won't. It's failed at least 10 times, each on 115 and 230v. Did the circuit get overloaded? Also dont say something couldnbe overheating, bcause i know nothing is. ive been checking the temps. Thanks for reading if anyone did. Please help.
