is there any way so that i could convert video files format using command prompt???like convert .mkv files to mp4 or avi....please guys if there is any way not to use conversion software then please let me know.............with regards..............

As far as I know, Windows does not have any file conversion software built in, so it won't be possible to do with a command prompt either. If you wish to use the command prompt, you'll have to find a piece of software that supports command prompt.

Command prompt doesn't support converting video files. There are some good(decent) converting programs out there. Like freemake video converter or anyvideo converter

Because in a lot of cases, it's faster to do something with a command line interface than doing it through a GUI.

exactly thomas i was just trying to save time converting files with cmd if there was any way i could without softwares
