My system has had black screen when booting up. Which mean no logo or post. Until the blue loading screen of xp show up. Everything works after that. I have been using it for some time since this happen. But now I need to access the bios and to reformat a new hdd all but all I see is black. I would like to know there any fix for this?

Clearing cmos doesn't do anything.I would still get a black screen.
Im using 945GCT-HM the default motherboard for hp pavilion pc. It comes with a graphic card.

Ok i had tried another monitor but still get the same result. i had tried formatting my new harddisk in another pc and install it in my pc but that doesnt work either. I can hear the pc booting up and the loading sound playing other than that the screen are just black.

My old harddisk boot up fine until the blue screen appear but bios is still just black screen. But the system is not stable and need to be reformat too.

However when i take out my graphic card and use the mothersboard's vga the display would work with both harddisk even in bios...so does that mean my graphic card is going bad?
