I have sims 2 and I just got a laptop, I already have it on my main computer but it is very slow, I have got all my games and the boxes but some of them I cant find the code for them. what can I do so that it can be installed onto my laptop?
if anyone could helpt would be muc appreciated - katie xx

Buy it again. No one here is gonna give you a product key for a game.

Here are a few things you should start doing. Take a fine tip sharpie and write all your cd keys on the disc's themselves, if its a game you have to log into write that on the disc as well. Any game that i play a lot i try and rip to iso on my computer ( as to not loose it ) and make a text file of all my games with all cd keys.

As far as your question, for the sims you can call EA and explain to them what happened. If i remember right you have to send the disc back in a like 10 bucks and they will send you a new game.

You can also try this, go to belarc.com and download their free program on your old desktop. This will run a report on the system and pull any cd keys for programs you have installed

If they're legit copies, contact EA support. They're borderline useless, but that's where you go for something like this.
