Cubie hardware
Allwinner A1X SoC = ARM Cortex-A8 CPU + Mali 400 GPU
1 GB RAM DDR3 @480MHz
Samsung 16GB MicroSD Class 10, UHS-1
(WD USB 1TB disk drive)

On Wiki Answers, I saw the following reply so I assume this should work:
Minimum 1 GB Ram with 5 GB free hard-disk space having 2.4 GHz intel processor is required for RHEL-6 OS installation.

However, CPU on Cubieboard is 32-bits so the KVM (Kernel Virtual Machine) will most likely be disabled as it requires 64-bits. What about Scientific Linux or CentOS... Fedora ?

Thanks for those quick answers.

Currently, I suspect Android, OpenEmbedded and Ubuntu may be Red Hat like and can run on ARM cpus. It is described in the Linaro project.

Besides, Fedora 18 has been made compatible with Cubie by Tekkaman Ninja here :

I am not sure how similar Fefora 18 is so I will probably be using it as a "secondary" RHEL.

Fedora draws from a great deal of RHEL's source (and vice versa). They are very similar, but RHEL tends to be on a less frequent release cycle due to the user requirements for stability in RHEL's customer base (business users, devlopers, etc). Fedora is more for enthusiasts.
