Keep Getting alt tabbed (driving me crazy) plz help !!!

Hey guys I recently purchased and put together a new pc.

Everything runs fine until i start gaming and then get alt tabbed out of games for no reason at the worst times most of the time. I've updated all of the drivers and installed all of the windows updates. I've tried running the games in windowed mode at the same resolution as my desktop but it still keeps happening.

PC Specs:

Intel Core i7-2700k CPU @ 3.50GHz,
16.0GB RAM,
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti Boost 2GB GDDR5,
FATAL1TY Intel_Intel Series Z77 Motherboard
WIndows 7 Home Premium

Now if you have another window open like a browser that is minimized and then play the game, is it actually ALT-TABing out and switching to the browser or is the game minimizing and you going to the desktop. If it's the second one, I would say maybe something running in the background and in your tool tray and anytime you get a notification from the program running in the tool tray, it could switch you to the desktop. Try turning anything running in the background off and see what happens.

Losing focus (alt tabbing) is usually caused by another application taking focus from the app you are using. What else do you have running while gaming?

Also, have you performed a complete anti-virus AND anti-malware scan on this system?
