I bought this covertible laptop a month or so ago: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834131398

Overall, I think it's great despite varying opinions on the device. The one problem I haven't been able to figure out is some type of mouse lag/stuttering that happens from time to time.

It's been difficult to diagnose as it doesn't always happen. It does seems to happen when the computer is under a "load" such as while a web page is loading on the screen or other processor/graphics use, but its hard to tell.

It happens with both the touchpad and an external mouse. I've tried a few different intel graphics drivers, but they haven't helped. I'm not even sure it's a graphics problem .

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The mouse doesn't disappear, it actually stutters/slows down. It almost seems like the CPU/GPU isn't powerful enough to process mouse movements and rendering a webpage at times.

As for drivers, I've used the latest graphics drivers from both the manufacturer (Samsung) and tried manually installing the latest Intel graphics drivers (which are different from Samsung's drivers). No change in either.

For mouse drivers, I've got the latest touchpad drivers installed from Samsung, and I've also been using the latest version of SetPoint for my external mouse. Both the touchpad and the external mouse behave exactly the same way.

Any other ideas?

I'm having the same exact issue. Have you gotten relief from this?

It's obviously some kind of driver issue (since mouse handling is so low-level in the OS), are you running any peripherals? USB hub, External monitor? If we find the things we have in common it might help.

I actually sold the laptop due to other problems like this. In general the scree was too small and windows 8 just makes a terrible tablet since it has no app support. I purchased a Lenovo W530 and am loving it.
