* A10 5800k or just about any APU w/4 cores
* Etc.

The FX6300 just got the MSRP reduced to $112. That's a lot of CPU for the money.
CPU: AMD FX6300 $112
MB: Asrock 970 extreme3 $79 (built in sound and NIC)
HDD: WD or Seagate 500GB 7200 RPM SATA3 $55
PSU: Corsair CX500 500W PSU $50
GPU: Radeon HD 7870XT $235
RAM: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 $35
Disk: DVD Burner $15-20
CASE: ATX Mid Tower $40
That's a $626 system, and you could cut back on the GPU if you wanted...a decent HD 7850 would run around $150-200.
