These are just a few ive seen and no im not a nvidia only guy these just came up first in my search as far as price goes this board is neither sli nor crossfire compatible but my new one will be so i would prefer to get a card that is capable of one or the other ... Yes this will be a gaming machine ... when it is built so i wanna be able to play fairly high end games on it but in no more than 1080p i run a 52" and a 37" 1080p lcd tvs off this as it is also a media server for my house and the new one will be i hope ive included enough info ... i am gonna go look at benchmark and see if i can get more info but any help would be greatly appreciated

The GTS 450 is a good card. and SLI would be quite nice for performance. Also if you find my advice helpful you can click the "pick as solution" button so others if contemplating a low budget upgrade can find use of this thread as well.

thanks i will consider that i was thinking however that i might get more bang for my buck buying a used or new through ebay video card im just unsure of these brands i have never owned or used a PNY evga zotac or galaxy card i was going through the benchmark stuff trying to find where these rate ... however most games i play would be less graphics intensive than persay crysis 3 while ive never played it im aware that it is way up there in graphics mostly i play mmo's(BSGO ( one id like to play but am unable to at the moment is WARZ) assassins creed 2 mass effect 2 starcraft 2 so not really up there but i figured if i got something that was upgradable through sli or crossfire i could help myself out because two midrange cards in conjunction can do about what a high end card can do as most games nowadays support them and my old radeon x1950 pro was capable of running most of these games

these and all the others on my list were 2gb cards and i might be able to spend a little more if need be im just unsure if any are even worth a damn i remember plenty of times when a card with 1/2 or even a 1/4 of the ram bested a larger card

Sorry didnt realize the 620 you linked to was a 620. thought it was a 610. But still, the 6570 beats it in performance as well.

The card wont truly be able to take advantage of that 2gb of ram it has honestly. That is why 7850s still come in 1gb versions. You won't be gaming at high enough resolutions and settings for it to matter.

sorry i was lloking at 3d bench mark and didnt see my exact cards but similar slightly higher models and slightly lower but none of the cards that i was looking at nor the one you suggested ... as well as i dont believe that card is crossfire capable which would be better as then when i finish my new build i could just add a second card and then not have to replace the card i just bought entirely
but if this is your best suggestion i will look into it abd probably get it as im not really up on newer video cards most of my clients dont need that kind computer the most extensive thing i have to deal with is i have a client that needs his alienware area 51 r3 rebuilt (PAIN IN THE A$$) lol so thanks very much for your help i will do a bit more digging but seriously consider your opinion if i might ask where were you getting your info from so i can check against other cards i might find if you dont mind

If you type into google for example:
Nvidia GT 620 vs Radeon HD 6570 Benchmarks
You can come up with different benchmarks that people have run between the two cards. Use google to your advantage and do plenty of research before you buy :)

now i wonder on my new setup do you believe that it will matter i am looking at a intel quad 2.66 ghz on i believe an asrock board with 2 pci-e x16 slots cant remember if thats the sli or crossfire board but both very similar boards do you think this card will hold up or will i be trashing it in 6 months for something better? sorry im really kinda stuck on the whole sli crossfirex thing so i can just buy a second card and run two cards in conjunction rather than buy a whole new video card

yeah i was trying to use the benchmarks on this site because i know they are reliable and offer source for multiple video cards rather than just the two i was looking at but thats a very valid point thank you

You will need to find the model of your motherboard and check its specs to see if it can SLI and/or crossfire
I think that any card you spend $50 or less on you will probably need to upgrade in 1 year about. If I were you I would go ahead and get one, and then SAVE SAVE SAVE for a year until this card just doesnt hold up anymore. By then all of the Richland AMD APUs will be out and you can build a pretty decent gaming computer for 350-600 bucks

yeah i dont like apu's i and i build my own systems i just havent been able to do so in quite some time so im a bit out of the loop on video cards plus i have always bought namebarnd videocards lol ... yeah i have two motherboards picked out one is SLI compatible the other is crossfire x compatible ... i just figured picking up a couple 30-50 dollar cards one now one later might help me fix this one and get my build going in the right direction ...

I think the GTS 450 SLI will suit you better than crossfire 6570s.
Crossfire has way more issues than SLI.
Plus im not even sure if the 6570s are crossfire capable.

Well you can get a 7850 HD because the gt 610 is a rebatched of gt 520 and Nvidia gt 610 ,620,630 is not a good card. Is a fermi based card. But still you can play battlefield 3 , league of legends , starcraft in medium settings with those cards. Hope it helps :)

And how you want to run SLI? Inspiron 531 has only one PCIE slot?
Good advice, sure...
I can not say anything against GTX 450 as choice, but SLI, I can not stop laughing:pt1cable::lol:

well you gotta spend more abit to run better games. Because if you dont you would left behind , now technology is getting more advanced so do graphic cards too.
Well 50$ ? i would say dont get 630 , that card really sucks and its a fermi based card and cadyn , the 610 is a rebatched of 520.
i would suggest : Asus Ati Radeon HD 6450 ,Sapphire Radeon HD 5450, Sapphire radeon hd 6570.
