as the title says will gtx 650 ti boost be a overkill for 720p
other specs
cpu-i5-3450(or maybe the haswell equivalent)
ram-8gb
psu-corsair vs 550
MoBo- gigabyte b75
resolution - 1366x768
games - all modern games (assassin's creed 3, far cry 3,crysis 3)
one other question is is there a set release date for for nvidia gtx 7xx series
and is it worth the wait
i will be purchasing in june
and also how much vram do i need for my resolution cause a 2gb version would be out of my budget

No, actually I think it's probably the best choice for the money for that resolution. 1gig should be fine.

The 7xx series... If I was a betting man, they're going to release their high-end stuff before... so you're likely to wait alot longer than just one month to get a equivalent to the GTX 650ti boost.
